Surrey-based pop band Softer Still are on fine form in the build up to their debut album Nuances. With a few UK shows towards the end of year and an incredible fan reaction to their latest single ‘A Sadder Sound’, the band are on their way to big things. The dreamy atmosphere and jangly, psychedelic “guitars that take [a Soundcloud listener] back to the 80s” are the worthy accompaniment to dual lead vocals that float away due to the huge bed of reverb that affects them. The 80s and 90s Indie pop the band claim as influence can also be heard in the synth-string melody lines used in the bridge. -Dan Peeke
